Will a natural pool get me more Airbnb bookings?

It gives you something genuinely different to say. In a market where nearly every villa has a pool, a chlorine-free one is a real point of difference. We would be wary of anyone promising you a specific increase in bookings, though.

Here is the honest version.

South Bali has an enormous number of villa listings, and a standard rectangular pool no longer earns a premium on its own — it is the baseline expectation, not a feature. What moves a booking decision is something a guest cannot get at the villa next door.

A natural pool gives you three things to work with. It photographs differently, because planting and freeform edges read as landscape rather than equipment. It describes differently — “chlorine-free, filtered by plants” is a sentence that stops someone scrolling. And it reviews differently, because guests notice water that does not sting their eyes or leave their hair smelling of chemicals, and they tend to mention it.

That last one matters most. Reviews that mention a specific, unusual feature are the ones that compound.

It also opens a guest segment that actively filters for it: wellness travellers, families with young children, and anyone with eczema or sensitive skin. That is a smaller pool of guests, but a less price-sensitive one.

What we will not tell you is that it guarantees a higher nightly rate or a particular occupancy lift. That depends on your location, your photography, your pricing and your listing copy far more than on the pool alone. A natural pool gives you a strong story. Whether the listing tells it well is the other half.
